Plastic pollution is a pervasive environmental issue that affects ecosystems, wildlife, and human health. Millions of tons of plastic waste are generated each year, much of which ends up in oceans, rivers, and landfills. Marine animals often ingest plastic or become entangled in it, leading to injury or death. Polyethylene terephthalate (PET), which is commonly used for plastic bottles, food containers, and other packaging, can take hundreds to thousands of years to fully decompose in the environment. It doesn't fully biodegrade; instead, it breaks into smaller fragments over time(around 450 years), contributing to microplastic pollution in the environment.

Our story

At Re-PET, we believe in the power of innovation to drive positive change. What began as a single vision to reduce plastic waste and create a more sustainable future has grown into one of the most advanced plastic recycling factories in the industry.

Founded by Eng. Omar Hamza, our journey started from the ground up. With passion for environmental sustainability and a belief that technology could unlock new solutions, we took the bold step of starting this factory from scratch. From overcoming challenges in the early days to assembling a team of like-minded experts.

Today, Re-PET stands at the forefront of plastic recycling technology. With cutting-edge sorting systems and state-of-the-art equipment, we're able to process and recycle plastics more efficiently than ever before, turning waste into valuable resources: premium quality, food-grade flakes.
